James “Jim” Ray Landrum, age 74, of Palestine, went home to be with Jesus, on Sunday, the 9th day of January 2022, after a short illness. Jim was born on the 17th day of October 1947, to parents Wallis and Georgia Landrum in Ardmore, Oklahoma.
Jim was a beloved husband, father, brother and above all, a Christian. He was a proud veteran of the United States Navy. He loved his country and was always proud to be an American. He retired from Nucor Steel after a 35-year career where he held many positions including Vice President and General Manager of Nucor Steel’s Grapeland Plant. Jim was involved in his church, enjoyed wood carving, playing golf and loved his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents Wallis and Georgia Landrum.
Jim is survived by the love of his life and wife of 53 years, Linda Landrum, two daughters, Melinda (Randy) and Susan (Kristy), two grandchildren, Breanna (Eric), and Matthew, as well as his sister, Judi.
A funeral service for James “Jim” Ray Landrum will be held this weekend at Oltmann Funeral Home in Washington, Missouri.
