Agnes "Aggie" (Pryor) Fox

August 23, 1942 ~ March 17, 2018 (age 75)

Agnes “Aggie” Fox, age 75, of Palestine, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Saturday, the 17th day of March, 2018 at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas.  Aggie was born on the 23rd day of August, 1942 in Jacksonville, Texas to James Robert Pryor and Allie Mae Phillips Pryor.  She worked at ETA Global Inc. and had an independent spirit. Aggie loved her family and was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. 

Aggie is preceded in death by her parents, James and Allie Pryor; husband, James Arthur Fox, Sr.; son, Otis Allen Fox; sister, Allison Tutt; brother, James Calvin Pryor.

Aggie Fox is survived by her daughters, Sharon Price and husband Terry of Gilmer, Texas, Shelly Tinsley and husband Joe of Elkhart, Texas, Sheila McCoy and husband Gary of Elkhart, Texas; sons, James Fox, Jr. and wife Angelina of Palestine, Texas, Calvin Fox of DeKalb, Texas, Steven Fox and wife Heidi of Raeford, North Carolina; brother, Faxton Pryor of Kerens, Texas; 22 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from six o’clock until eight o’clock in the evening on Sunday, the 18th day of March, 2018 at Rhone Funeral Home.

Funeral services for Agnes Fox will be conducted at one o’clock in the afternoon on Monday, the 19th day of March, 2018 in the Rhone Memorial Chapel with Rev. Nolan Fox, Kimo Perkins and Chaplain Joe Tinsley III officiating.  Interment will follow in Mt. Comfort Cemetery in Maydelle, Texas.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are James Tobyn Fox, Joseph Adam Fox, Jason Cody Fox, Russell Lane Price, Gary Lynn Griggs, Jr., Steven Randall Fox, Jr., Justin Alexander Fox, Justin Isaiah Fox, Calvin Ray Fox, Jr., Joseph Conrad Tinsley IV and Tarus Davis.    

In lieu of customary remembrances, memorial contributions in Agnes Fox’s memory can be directed toward the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
