Anabel Benitez

Anabel Benitez, age 25, of Palestine, went to be in the loving arms of our Lord and Savior on Tuesday, the 1st day of October, 2019.  She was born on the 30th day of June, 1994, in Belle Glade, Florida, to Jose Benitez, Jr. and Creslenciana DePaz Benitez.  Anabel was a 2014 graduate of Palestine High School.  She had a beautiful smile and a great sense of humor.  She will be missed by everyone who knew her.   

She is preceded in death by her father, Jose Benitez, Jr.

Anabel is survived by her foster parents, Christy Bynum and Will Johnson; sisters, Yuridia Benitez, Elias Valdez, Anna Carter and husband Fabian Martin; brothers, Joel Benitez, Julian Benitez, Raul Valdez, Kyle Carter and wife Diana; nurses, Sarah Clark, Dee Smith, Crystal Galloway, Dina Gallion, Angela Redden and Shuntrevia Mecole.

Funeral services for Anabel Benitez are to be conducted at ten o’clock in the morning, on Friday, the 4th day of October, 2019, at Rhone Funeral Home with Rev. Jordan Byrd officiating.  Interment will follow at three o’clock in the afternoon, in Hillcrest Cemetery, 206 Highway 147, Marlin, Texas 76661.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service in the Rhone Memorial Chapel.

In lieu of customary remembrances, memorial contributions in Anabel’s memory can be directed towards St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
