Austin Cheatham Obituary

Austin Cheatham, age 26, of Crockett, passed away on Saturday, the 27th day of July, 2019.  He was born on the 10th day of January, 1993, in Palestine, Texas, to Misty Cheatham Kahl.

Austin was raised in Grapeland and graduated from Grapeland High School.  He worked in the oil field industry and loved to hunt and fish.  Austin also enjoyed spending time with his family and listening to Texas Country Music.  He lived everyday for his two beautiful children and wife.

Austin is survived by his wife Holidae Cheatham; mother, Misty Kahl and James of Montgomery; grandparents and honorary father, Jackie and Kathy Cheatham of Grapeland; father-in-law, Gary Benton of Crockett; daughter, Aubree Elizabeth Cheatham; son, Grayson George Cheatham; brothers, Alex Shellenberger and Jared Vest; stepbrothers, James Kahl, Jr. and Daniel Kahl; stepsister, Brittany Kahl; and uncle, Jon Cheatham and wife Kathy of Grapeland.  

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation and share memories with the family from six o’clock until eight o’clock in the evening, on Friday, the 2nd day of August, 2019, at Rhone Funeral Home.

A funeral service to honor the life of Austin will be held privately at a later date.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Alex Shellenberger, Jared Vest, Sim Goodnight, Travis Brown, Brody Bogan, Clay Cheatham and Jeremy Byrd.

Funeral services for Austin Cheatham are in care of Rhone Funeral Home, 3900 S. State Highway 19, Palestine, Texas.
