Beth Hurbrough, age 76, of Palestine, passed away peacefully on Monday, the 7th day of October, 2019, at her home. She was born on the 14th day of January, 1943 in Longview, Texas to Jodie Cagle and Gracie Bass Cagle.
She is preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Michael Hurbrough Jr. and daughter-in-law, Karen Hurbrough.
Mrs. Hurbrough is survived by daughters, Jennifer Hurbrough-Simms and husband Timothy of Palestine, and Marianna Mebane and husband Jeremy of Tyler; sons, Michael Hurbrough of Tyler and Dale Hurbrough of Palestine; sister Mary Brewton and husband Dub of Beaumont; brother, Joe Cagle and wife Irma of Palestine; grandchildren, Rachel Hurbrough, Leah Hurbrough, Christina Svesko, Natalie Svesko, Henry Mebane, Charlie Mebane, Mary Mebane, Christopher Carter; two great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Beth was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister and friend to all. A true character, she was known for her contagious smile and vivacious personality. Her sense of humor and positivity carried people through the good times and bad. She loved her family passionately and was selfless in giving her time and energy to those she loved. Her warmth, smile, and energy brought happiness to everyone she came in contact with, and she will be missed every day. She had tremendous faith and though happiest surrounded by her family, we know she is thrilled to be in the presence of the Lord.
A celebration of Beth’s life will be held in the Rhone Memorial Chapel at one o’clock in the afternoon on Friday, the 11th day of October, 2019.
