Beverley Joyce Driggers, age 71, of Palestine, passed from this life to her eternal reward with her Savior on Saturday, the 14th day of July, 2018 at her residence after a lengthy illness. She was born in the home of her parents, on the 12th day of October, 1946 in Mt. Carmel, Illinois to N.O. Fiscus and Sarah Lee Higgins. Beverley traveled the world during her life through the military and trucking industry. After her retirement in Idaho, she moved back to Texas where she was raised. She enjoyed dining out, collecting knickknacks, playing cards, computer games, and traveling. Beverley married her husband J. Paul Driggers on March 24, 1994.
Mrs. Driggers was preceded in death by her parents, N.O. Fiscus and Sarah Lee Higgins Thetford; and brother-in-law, Carl McCalvin.
She is survived by her loving husband, J. Paul Driggers of Palestine; two daughters, Dorothy Mae Sutliff and husband Herb of Burley, Idaho, and Darlene ‘Cate’ Chism and husband Richard of Round Rock, Texas; sister, Marie McCalvin of Ferris, Texas; six grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and many beloved pets.
A graveside service will be conducted at one o’clock in the afternoon on Monday, the 16th day of July, 2018 in Cedar Creek Cemetery with Bro. Wayne Frazier officiating.
