Carol Murray Obituary

Carol Murray, age 70, of Palestine, passed away peacefully on Saturday, the 10th day of August, 2019, at her home.  She was born on the 13th day of August, 1948, in Corsicana, Texas, to Carriel Bison and Cloverta Templeton Bison.

Mrs. Murray was a very generous person that would help anyone in need.  Her life revolved around her children and grandchildren.  She enjoyed taking trips to the beach and when it came to gardening, she definitely had a green thumb.

She is preceded in death by her parents, son Jeremy Sharples and sister, Ruby Brock.

Mrs. Murray is survived by her husband of 39 years, John Murray; daughter, Tracy Calhoun of Palestine; sons, Tom Sharples and wife Susan, and Michael Sharples, all of Palestine; sister, Ruth Baker of Corsicana; grandchildren, Langford Sharples, Jack Sharples, Lily Calhoun and Serenity Sky Murray. She is also survived by three nieces and their families.

A private celebration of Mrs. Murray’s life will be held in the Rhone Memorial Chapel, with Ben Rhone officiating.

In lieu of customary remembrances, memorial contributions in Mrs. Murray’s honor can be directed towards Hope Station, 919 Magnolia Street, Palestine, Texas 75801.
