Danny Ray Collins

Danny Ray Collins, age 60, of Humble, Texas went to be with the Lord on Thursday, the 5th day of July, 2018.  He was born on the 20th day of October, 1957 in Livingston, Texas to Wayne Collins and Bobbie Richardson Collins.  Danny was raised in Grapeland and a graduate of Texas State Technical Institute.  He worked as a mechanic for Cummins Sales and Service in Houston for 40 years.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Wayne and Bobbie Collins.

Danny is survived by his sister, Nell Cryer and husband Herman of Ennis; brothers, Donnis Collins and wife Rhonda, Bruce Collins and wife Teresa both of Grapeland.  He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives, as well as a caring and loving work family. 

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from five o’clock until seven o’clock in the evening on Sunday, the 8th day of July, 2018 at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Grapeland.

Funeral services for Danny Ray Collins will be conducted at two o’clock in the afternoon on Monday, the 9th day of July, 2018 at Oak Grove Baptist Church with Bro. Gary Luker and Bro. Dan Leonard officiating.  Interment will follow in Parker Cemetery.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Jeff Brown, Tracy Salmon, Mike Slocum, Ted Salmon, Kenny Peterson and Mark Lambert.  Honorary pallbearers will be the employees of Cummins Sales and Service in Houston.
