Franklin “Frank” Claborn, age 65, of Elkhart, passed away into the loving arms of Jesus on Wednesday, the 13th day of November, 2019. He was born on the 15th day of October, 1954, in Denver, Colorado, to Willie Ray Claborn and Peggy McCall-Prescott.
Frank worked for Walt Disney World for over twenty years and had a long career at Lone Star Steel. At a young age, he greatly enjoyed hunting and being in the great outdoors. Frank had a love for photography, astronomy, fishing, boating and barbecue. His dog, “Sugar”, brought him great joy. Frank was a Christian and member of Days Chapel Missionary Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by his father, Ray Claborn; sister, Cheryl Wise; and brother, Frank Scott Claborn.
Frank is survived by his mother, Peggy McCall-Prescott of Bellaire, Texas; stepmother, Betty Claborn of Magnolia, Texas; daughters, Angela Hale and Jesse of Pearland, Texas, Lisa McClure of Palestine, Texas; sisters, Myra Crump and Bobby of Royse City, Texas, Margaret Carter and John of Kilgore, Texas, Lizabeth McCall; brothers, Aaron Ray Claborn and Linda of Elkhart, Texas, Glen Count of Colorado; sister-in-law, Paula Claborn; and granddaughters, Kayla Hale and Carly Hale.
Services for Frank Claborn will be conducted at eleven o’clock in the morning, on Saturday, the 16th day of November, 2019, in the Rhone Memorial Chapel with Aaron Claborn officiating. Interment will follow in Pilgrim Cemetery.
Friends are cordially invited to visit with the family, beginning at ten o’clock, until the start of service.
