Glen Sellers, of Palestine, Texas went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, the 11th day of November, 2018. He passed away at Palestine Regional Medical Center in Palestine at the age of 77. He was born on the 15th day of December, 1940 in Ridgely, Tennessee to James Andrew Sellers and Lena Stout Sellers. During Glen’s career he worked on a locomotive for Union Pacific Railroad. He enjoyed playing golf and even made golf clubs as a hobby. Glen was an avid University of Tennessee volunteer football fan and cheered for the St. Louis Cardinals.
He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Lena Sellers, two sisters and three brothers.
Glen is survived by his wife of over 56 years, Dianne Sellers of Palestine; daughter, Kimberly Day of Palestine; son, Jeffery Sellers and Mary of San Antonio; brother, Farrell D. Sellers of San Antonio; grandchildren, Andrew DelPrincipe, John “J.D.” DelPrincipe III, Justin DelPrincipe, Jeremy DelPrincipe; and 6 great grandchildren.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from five o’clock until seven o’clock in the evening on Thursday, the 15th day of November, 2018 at Rhone Funeral Home.
Funeral services for Glen Sellers will be held at ten o’clock in the morning on Friday, the 16th day of November, 2018 in the Rhone Memorial Chapel with Jeffery Sellers officiating. Interment will follow in Land of Memory Cemetery.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Andrew DelPrincipe, John “J.D.” DelPrincipe III, Justin DelPrincipe, Jeremy DelPrincipe, Dan Cooper and James Sowell.
