Gregory "Gregg" Taylor

Gregory “Gregg” Evert Taylor, age 57, of Palestine, passed away on Friday, the 5th day of July, 2019, at Christus Mother Frances Hospital in Tyler.  He was born in Stigler, Oklahoma, on the 26th day of July, 1961, to parents Lawrence Taylor and Linda Lynn Taylor.

Gregg felt called into the ministry of Christ in which he was very involved with church activities and Bible studies.  He loved his family dearly, especially his kids and grandkids.  Gregg was a Martial Arts Instructor for over 30 years. His hobbies included hunting, fishing and anything that involved the great outdoors.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents.

Gregg is survived by his loving wife of 37 years Pam Taylor of Palestine, Texas; parents, Lawrence and Linda Taylor of Buffalo, Texas; daughters, Kristina Nichole Dean and husband Matthew of Elkhart, Texas, Kayla Alisha Rowe and husband Jacob of Gladewater, Texas; son, Matthew Aron Taylor of San Antonio, Texas; brothers, Jason Taylor and wife Stacy of Jewett, Texas, Roger Taylor of Oklahoma; grandchildren, Kerstin, Jacob, Hayden, Tristan and Alexis; long-time friends, Steve and Terri Warren; and numerous nieces and nephews.  

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from five o’clock until seven o’clock in the evening on Tuesday, the 9th day of July, 2019 in the Parlor of Rhone Funeral Home.

Funeral services for Gregg Taylor will be conducted at ten o’clock in the morning on Wednesday, the 10th day of July, 2019 at Calvary Christian Center in Oakwood, Texas with Bro. Jack Smith officiating.  

Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Steve Warren, John Piper, Jason Taylor, Matthew Taylor, Jacob Rowe, Bailey Taylor and John Frazier.
