JC Hagin, Jr., age 58, of Tennessee Colony, was called home on Tuesday, the 12th day of November, 2019, at home surrounded by loved ones, after a well fought battle with cancer. He was born in Palestine, Texas, on the 12th day of January, 1961, to JC Hagin and Etta Smith Hagin.
Mr. Hagin worked for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice for twenty-eight years, before his retirement. He was a talented artist and enjoyed sketching. His hobbies included riding motorcycles, fishing and working in his yard.
He is preceded in death by his parents, JC and Etta Hagin.
Mr. Hagin is survived by his wife of 16 years, Anita Hagin; daughters, Chemerlee Donnell of Palestine, Chermaine Donnell of Crockett, Tampura Donnell of Louisiana; sons, Michael Hernandez and Michelle of Arlington, Casey Hernandez and Nicole of Waxahachie, Teddy Hernandez and Brandie of Red Oak, Timothy Hernandez of Plano, Ryan Hernandez of Arlington, Gregory Hernandez and Julie of Corsicana; sisters, Hilda Pinson, JoAnn Wilson, Gwen Black; brothers, Carlos Hagin and Roy Gardner; 28 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren.
A memorial service to celebrate Mr. Hagin’s life is to be conducted at eleven o’clock in the morning on Saturday, the 23rd day of November, 2019 in the Rhone Memorial Chapel.
