Jason Westbrook, age 44, of Palestine, passed away on Tuesday, the 17th day of September, 2019. He was born on the 24th day of March, 1975, in Palestine, Texas, to Michael Ray Westbrook and Katy Lynell Moore Westbrook.
Jason was a 1994 graduate of Elkhart High School. He served in the United States Navy for 8 years in the Military Police and in Desert Storm. During his time in the service, he played on the Navy’s basketball and golf teams. After returning home, he loved to help other veterans. Jason was an avid sports fan and enjoyed fishing.
Jason is survived by his parents, Michael and Katy Westbrook; daughter, MyKayla Westbrook; sister, Amy Westbrook; brother, Jeremiah Westbrook; nephew, Landon Westbrook; and nieces, Katarina Westbrook and Clementine Westbrook.
Friends and family are cordially invited to visitation on Thursday, the 19th day of September from 5:30pm until 7:30pm at Rhone Funeral Home.
Jason will be laid to rest in the Houston National Cemetery on Tuesday, the 24th day of September at 12:45pm with Military Honors by the U.S. Navy.
