Jessica "Jess" (Petrovich) Reed

Jessica Renée Petrovich Reed, age 33, of Palestine, unexpectedly departed this world for her heavenly home on Thursday, the 9th day of August, 2018 after an automobile accident.  She was born on the 16th day of May, 1985 in Palestine, Texas to Charles “Steve” Petrovich Jr. and Shirley Fox Petrovich.  Jess was a 2003 graduate of Palestine High School and attended New Life Community Church and Church of Glad Tidings in Palestine.  She had a big heart and loved people, especially her family.  Jess loved to talk and never met a stranger.  She enjoyed hunting and fishing with her dad and was an avid softball player.

She is preceded in death by her grandmothers, Alice Petrovich, Mary Ellen Petrovich and father-in-law, David Reed.

Jess is survived by her husband, Dustin Reed; parents, Steve and Shirley Petrovich; grandparents, Charles Steve Petrovich Sr., Ray and Patricia Fox; daughters, Rebecca San Miguel, Nataleigh Sheffield; step-daughter, Olivia Reed; mother-in-law, Nancy Reed; sisters, Heather Lively and husband Keith of Palestine, Amy Robinson and husband Brian of Palestine; nieces, Emily and Ella Lively, Rielyn Robinson; nephew, Westyn Robinson.  She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and other family members.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from one o’clock until two o’clock in the afternoon on Monday, the 13th day of August, 2018 at Rhone Funeral Home. 

The funeral service will be conducted following the visitation at two o’clock in the Rhone Memorial Chapel with Bro. Nolen Fox and Bro. Charles McShan officiating.  Immediately following, all are invited to greet the family during a reception at Cedar Creek Missionary Baptist Church, 8513 FM 322, Palestine, Texas 75801.

At Jess’s request, she will be cremated.  A private interment of ashes will be held at a later date.

Those honored to serve as honorary pallbearers are Christopher Fox, Cody Carnell, Niki Murray, Travis Carnell, Rebecca Hill, Brian Robinson, Keith Lively, Joshua Fox and Arista Brumley.
