Joseph Burt Hutchens II

Joseph Burt Hutchens II, age 71, of Palestine, passed away on Tuesday, the 12th day of June, 2018 at his residence.  He was born on the 17th day of July, 1946 in Palestine, Texas to Joseph Burt Hutchens Sr. and Winnie Dale Smith.  Mr. Hutchens worked as a guard for T.D.C. before making a career change as a cross country truck driver.  He served in the United States Navy and fought in the Vietnam War.  Mr. Hutchens will be greatly missed. 

Mr. Hutchens is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Virginia Brand.  He is survived by his loving wife, Joleene Hutchens of Palestine; daughter, Jennifer Dean of Palestine; son, Joseph Burt Hutchens III and wife Jeanne of Palestine; sister, June Walton of Palestine; grandchildren, Blake Dean, Robbie Hutchens, James Hutchens, Stormy Ross, Jonathan Hutchens, Joseph Hutchens IV, Dustin Hutchens, Kassie Hutchens and Katelynn Hutchens; great-grandchild, Kaylee Hutchens.

A memorial service will be conducted at half past one o’clock in the afternoon on Saturday, the 16th day of June, 2018 at Broyles Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Lumpkins officiating.
