Judy Marie (Craig) Quick

Judy Quick, age 74, of Elkhart, passed from this life to her eternal home in glory on Friday, the 15th day of November, 2019.  She was born on the 17th day of December, 1944, in Pittsburg, Texas, to Cello Hazel Craig and Bennie Jean Waggoner Craig.

Mrs. Quick loved her grandkids more than anything.  She was their biggest fan and supported them at all of their team and school events.  She was an accomplished seamstress, specializing in quilting, upholstery, and prom dresses.  Her love for genealogy was apparent; she could talk for hours about her research.  She also enjoyed photography and watching baseball.  Mrs. Quick was a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and the First Baptist Church of Elkhart.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Cello and Jean Craig; son, Stacey James Quick; and great-grandchild, Kaden Quick.

Mrs. Quick is survived by her husband of 57 years, Larry Quick;  daughter, Aimee Johnson and Kyle of Elkhart; sons, Kevin Quick and Ronda of Elkhart, Darren Quick of Elkhart; sister, Glenda Vaughn and Thomas of Elkhart; brother, Jim Craig and Nina of Hillsboro;  grandchildren, Jonathan Quick, Corbin Quick, Zane Quick, Jake Quick, Justin Quick, Christopher Roddy, Tucker Johnson, Zack Johnson, Allison Quick and Marley Johnson; great-grandchildren, Tala Quick, Eli Roddy, John Roddy and Case Quick.  She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends are cordially invited to visit with the family and share memories of Mrs. Quick from six o’clock until eight o’clock in the evening on Monday, the 18th day of November, 2019, at Rhone Funeral Home.

Funeral services for Judy Quick will be conducted at two o’clock in the afternoon on Tuesday, the 19th day of November, 2019, in the Rhone Memorial Chapel.  Interment will follow in Pilgrim Cemetery.

Mrs. Quick’s grandsons will serve as pallbearers and her granddaughters will serve as honorary pallbearers.

In lieu of customary remembrances, memorial contributions in Mrs. Quick’s memory can be directed towards Elkhart High School-Jerry Ives Memorial Scholarship Fund, 301 E. Parker, Elkhart, Texas 75839   or your charity of choice.
