Katherine Ester (Clark) Mestnik

Katherine Mestnik, age 91, of Palestine, Texas, left for Heaven on Wednesday, the 3rd day of July, 2019, after battling several illnesses. She was born on the 23rd day of December, 1927 in Millburn, Illinois.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Edward L. Mestnik, who passed away on April 26, 2006.

Katherine is survived by three children, Larry (Kathy) Mestnik residing in Colorado Springs, Colorado, Diane (Steve) Mestnik Brunner residing in Tulsa, Oklahoma and Valerie (Mel) Mestnik Boxell residing in Palestine, Texas; four grandchildren, Michael, Stephanie, Klint, Michelle; and five great grandchildren.

Many of the residents of Palestine might remember Katherine as the “Bracelet Lady.”  She loved to make bracelets but even more, she loved to give them away. The “thank you” smiles she got from so many, that was the only return she ever wanted. Wear your bracelets today in honor of Katherine Mestnik.

By her wishes, Katherine will be cremated and no services will be held.
