Funeral services for Keith Jenkins, age 60, of Palestine, will be conducted at two o’clock in the afternoon on Tuesday, the 27th day of February, 2018 at First Baptist Church in Palestine with Bro. Jack Chelf officiating. The interment service will follow at Land of Memory Cemetery in Palestine, Texas. Friends are cordially invited to gather with the family and share remembrances of Keith from five o’clock until seven o’clock in the evening on Monday, the 26th day of February, 2018 in the Chapel and Reflection Room of Rhone Funeral Home.
Keith completed his life’s adventures on Friday, the 23rd day of February, 2018. He was born on Sunday, the 16th day of June, 1957 in Palestine, Texas to Kenneth Jenkins and Bettie Taylor Jenkins. Keith loved life and lived it to the fullest. His passion was his wife and children. Keith loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He was a big supporter of the Palestine High School Band and Soccer programs. Keith was a faithful Christian and member of the First Baptist Church in Palestine for many years. He will be remembered for his love of, and dedication to family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Bettie Jenkins and brother, Kerry Jenkins.
Keith leaves behind his loving and devoted wife of 40 years, Donna Jenkins of Palestine, Texas; his wife’s parents, Coy and Opalene Chapman of Palestine, Texas; sons, Lyle Jenkins of Albany, New York, Ryan Jenkins of Palestine, Texas and Paul Jenkins of Palestine, Texas; sisters, Judy Killion and husband Smokey of Palestine, Texas, Shari Price and husband Robert of Vidor, Texas, Cindy Montgomery and husband Jeff of Palestine, Texas; brother, Ronnie Jenkins and wife Carolyn of Palestine, Texas; sister-in-law, Debra Cole and husband Kim of Palestine, Texas and numerous nieces and nephews.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Jeff James, Jumah Absy, Danny Smith, Lyle Jenkins, Ryan Jenkins, and Paul Jenkins. Honorary pallbearers will be members of Keith’s Sunday School Class at First Baptist Church, past and present P.H.S. Soccer Players, members of the 2015-2016 P.H.S. Robotics Team, Jaime Pena, Rudy Ruiz and Adam Debus.
