LeAnn Elizabeth McKinney

LeAnn Elizabeth McKinney, age 23, of Elkhart, went home to her heavenly father on Tuesday, the 19th day of March, 2019.  She was born in Palestine, Texas on the 27th day of January, 1996, to Richard McKinney and Karen Kinder McKinney.   LeAnn lived a full life in her short time here on earth.  She was a member of the Girl Scout Troup 2512 of Tejas Council.  LeAnn was a 2014 Graduate of Elkhart High School and voted Prom Queen her senior year.

She is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Mardeas McKinney and Nell McKinney; and maternal grandfather, Gene Kinder.

LeAnn is survived by her parents, Richard and Karen McKinney; grandmother, Maxine Kinder; sisters, Laura Yates and husband Jake, Lana Hoag and husband Nick; nieces and nephews, Taylor Yates, Morgan Yates, Rylee Yates, Logan Yates, Hannah Foster, Colton Foster and Aaron Hoag; and great nephew, Ryker.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from six o’clock until eight o’clock in the evening on Friday, the 22nd day of March, 2019 in the Parlor of Rhone Funeral Home.  

Funeral services for LeAnn McKinney will be conducted at two o’clock in the afternoon on Saturday, the 23rd day of March, 2019 in the Rhone Memorial Chapel with Steve McCann officiating.  Interment will follow in Guiceland Cemetery.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Chad Steely, Chris Comstock, Joseph Wilkinson, Cameron Holmes, Lenny Hoag and Brad Danby.
