Nita Parton, age 72, of Palestine, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, the 28th day of February, 2018 after a long battle with cancer. She was born to Newton Huggins Flores and Daisy Jaunita Carr Flores on the 22nd day of October, 1945 in Monroe, Louisiana. Nita was a secretary for Dr. Chadwell for 28 years. She loved the Lord and lived her life accordingly. She was a faithful member of Green Acres Baptist Church in Tyler, Texas and a part of the Celebration Choir. Nita learned to play the piano at an early age. She would play at various churches and continued to play until her final days on this earth.
Nita is preceded in death by her father, Newton Flores and son, Ray Parton, III.
Nita Parton is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Ray Parton, II of Palestine, Texas; mother, Daisey Idom of Conroe, Texas; daughter-in-law, Deborah Ann Boydstun of Longview, Texas; sisters, Martha Ann Price of Willis, Texas, Linda Andrews and husband Dr. J.D. Andrews of New Waverly, Texas; grandson, Stephen Ray Parton and fiancé Christen Stowers; numerous nieces, nephews and a multitude of friends.
Funeral services for Nita Parton will be conducted at 1:30pm on Saturday, the 3rd day of March, 2018 at Southside Baptist Church in Palestine with Dr. J. D. Andrews officiating. Interment service will follow at Neches Cemetery.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from 12:30pm until 1:30pm prior to the service at Southside Baptist Church.
