Ralph Hayden Richardson, Jr., age 90, of Gun Barrel City, departed this life for his heavenly home on Monday, the 4th day of February, 2019 at Trucare Living Centers in Palestine. He was born in Corsicana, Texas on the 26th day of October, 1928, to Ralph Richardson, Sr. and Ina Pearl Bailey Richardson. Mr. Richardson was a United States Air Force Veteran who served during the Korean War. He made a long career as a real estate broker, selling lake property. Mr. Richardson enjoyed hunting in his younger days and developed a passion for fishing as he grew older. He cherished his years on Cedar Creek Lake where he was able to fish year round and simply enjoy the water.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Ina Pearl Richardson, two brothers and four sisters, and one infant son, Robert John Richardson.
Mr. Richardson is survived by his daughters, Patsy Busi and husband Herbert Busi, III of Louisiana, Rhonda McNicholas of California, Trena Grunnet and husband Walter Grunnet of California; sons, Ralph Richardson, III and wife Kathleen Richardson of Palestine, Texas, Rich Richardson and wife Joan Richardson of Plano, Texas; sister, Bonnie Elizabeth Vaughn and husband Robert L. Vaughn of Dallas, Texas; sister-in-law, Jennie M. Richardson of Corsicana, Texas; ten grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service and celebration of his life is to be conducted at two o’clock in the afternoon on Saturday, the 16th day of February, 2019 in the Rhone Memorial Chapel.
Immediately following, all are invited to greet the family during a reception in the Rhone Reflection Room.
