Shirley Ann (Smith) Graham

Shirley Ann Graham of Palestine, Texas, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, the 17th day of May, 2018. She was born on the 27th day of March, 1948 in Athens, Texas. Shirley was 70 years old. She was married to her husband, Mike Graham, on February 2, 1973. Shirley spent most of her working career in the sewing industry which included Kay Lynn Sports Wear and Wallace Apparel.  Shirley loved spending time with her family. If there was a family gathering, she would not miss it. SHE LOVED HER FAMILY. Shirley also enjoyed the beaches of Destin, Florida. The memories made while spending time with her family and friends on the beaches of Florida will always hold a special place in the hearts and minds of her loved ones. Shirley also loved her church family. The last years of Shirley’s life was deeply impacted by her brothers and sisters in Christ. The love shown by the members was mentioned by her in conversation constantly.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl Henry Smith and Dorothy Smith and sister, Melinda Owens. Shirley is survived by her husband of 45 years, Mike Graham of Palestine; children, Debra Spinney, Chad Davis and wife Janice, Angela Day and husband Jody; sisters, Margie Smith, Fayrene Stokes and husband Robert; brother, Carl Smith, Jr.; 7 grandkids, Sarah Bell, Clif Richardson, Emily Davis, Kaleb Day, Cody Day, Chase Day and Kayden Day; 6 great-grandkids, Gauge, June, Kyra, Kaisten, Riley and Kinsley.

A funeral service in celebration of Shirley Ann Graham will be conducted at one o’clock in the afternoon on Saturday, the 19th day of May, 2018 in the Rhone Memorial Chapel with Jody Day officiating. Immediately following, all are invited to greet the family during a reception at the Church of Christ on Highway 155.  Visitation with the family will begin one hour prior to the service at Rhone Funeral Home.

Shirley will be cremated and interred into the Beaches of Florida at a later date.
