Obituary

Arthur Morris Cain, age 71, of Elkhart, Texas, departed this life for his home in Heaven on Saturday, the 17th day of June 2023. Mr. Cain was born in Fort Worth, Texas on the 11th day of September 1951, to parents Arthur Henry Cain and Flora Ellen Green Cain.

Throughout his life, Mr. Cain was a hardworking and committed individual. He retired from the Union Pacific railroad, where he contributed his skills and expertise for many years. He was also a master mason, having been a loyal and dedicated member of the Aubrey E. Hope #1446 in Balch Springs, Texas. One of Mr. Cain's favorite pastimes was spending time with his friends at the local Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) post.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Mr. Cain was an adventurous spirit who loved the outdoors. He was an avid fisherman, always eager to share his catches and stories with friends and family. His passion for adventure also extended to his love of riding his Harley Davidson trike, which he enjoyed for many years.

Mr. Cain was a collector of Hot Wheels cars. His impressive collection was a testament to his keen eye for detail and his appreciation for the craftsmanship and artistry of these miniature vehicles. Those who knew Mr. Cain will remember him as a generous, kind, and adventurous soul. His passing leaves a void in the hearts of many, but his memory will live on through the lives of those he touched and the countless stories that will be shared in his honor.

Mr. Cain is preceded in death by his wife, Loretta Cain; parents, Arthur and Flora Cain; sisters, Sybil Johnson, Estelle Gore, and Margaret Stogdill.

Mr. Cain was a proud and dedicated family man, leaving behind a loving daughter, Pamela “Darlene” Cain and her husband Jeff of Elkhart, Texas; stepdaughters, Cindy Scarber, and Mary Thompson; a devoted son, Henry Cain and his wife Julie of Dallas, Texas; stepson, Robert “Bobby” Tuskey; and a cherished sister, Betty Conley of Quinlan, Texas; sixteen grandchildren and twenty-eight great grandchildren with one on the way. Additionally, he will be fondly remembered by numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends who were fortunate enough to have known him.

A funeral service to celebrate the life of Arthur Cain is to be conducted at two o’clock in the afternoon on Thursday, the 22nd day of June 2023, in the Rhone Memorial Chapel. 

Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the start of service at Rhone Funeral Home.

With careful thought, consideration, and in accordance with his wishes, Mr. Cain will be cremated following the service.
