Austin Lee Miles

Austin Lee Miles, a cherished husband, father, son, brother, and friend, passed away unexpectedly in an automobile accident in Elkhart, Texas on May 22, 2023, at the age of 26. Born on January 19, 1997, in Palestine, Texas, Austin was the loving son of Roy Lee Miles and Jeanne Honeycutt Miles.

Austin was employed by Perry's Contracting Construction, where he demonstrated a strong work ethic and dedication to his craft. He took great pride in his work and was respected by his colleagues and clients alike. An adventurous soul, Austin loved spending time outdoors, fishing, and hunting. He was an avid collector of knives and always enjoyed a good challenge. He had a passion for baseball, playing in his younger years and watching it on T.V.

He was a devoted family man, known for his adventurous spirit, loving nature, and a great sense of humor. He always had a joke or a funny story to share, bringing laughter and joy to those around him. His love and dedication to his family were evident in everything he did, and he had the unique ability to make everyone feel special and loved.

Austin never met a stranger and would go out of his way to help someone in need anytime or anywhere. As we remember and celebrate his life, let us carry on his legacy of love, laughter, and devotion to family.

He joined in Heaven his daughter, Evangeline Leigh Miles; brothers, Dustin Clayton Miles, and Damien Lee Miles.

Austin is survived by his father Roy Miles and wife Melissa; mother, Jeanne Miles and husband Chad Malone; devoted wife, Patricia Ella-Marie Hopkins, and his beautiful children, Sterling Lee Miles, Austin Lane Miles, Dale Wayne Miles, and one on the way, Daxton Walker Miles. He is also survived by his grandmother, Linda Miles; sister, Angel Faye Ginn and her husband, Casey; and brother, Braxton Clayton Miles and wife Joy Bray. Austin's memory will be cherished by numerous other family members and a host of friends who loved him dearly.

The family will host a celebration of life service to honor Austin’s life at a later date.

Cremation services for Austin Lee Miles are in care of Rhone Funeral Home, 3900 S. State Highway 19, Palestine, Texas.
