Barbara Jane (Bond) Robinson

Barbara Jane Robinson, a loving, thoughtful, and creative woman, passed away at the age of 69 on the 8th day of May 2023, in Palestine, Texas. Born on the 28th day of July 1953, in West Bend, Wisconsin, she was the daughter of George Bond and Adelia Olson.

Barbara is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Lawrence Robinson, their daughter Sherry Starling, son Eddie Robinson and his wife Twina, sisters Ann Mares, and Susan Donahue and husband Dan, brother Kenneth Bond, niece Maxine Salmon and husband Wade, nephews Lester Baxter and wife Melissa, Charles Baxter and wife Minda, and Bryan Robinson, her cherished grandchildren Cody Robinson, Kyle Robinson, Becky Conniff, and Nicky Conniff, and other numerous nieces, nephews, and family members who will dearly miss her. She joins her parents George and Adelia Olson Bond in Heaven.

A dedicated and independent woman, Barbara was known for her crafty nature, excelling in needlepoint, sewing, and various other creative pursuits. She was always ready to have fun, enjoying puzzles, games, and spending quality time with her family and friends, who brought her endless joy.

Barbara was a pillar of strength and support for her family, hosting Thanksgiving dinners and being a masterful cook who could prepare all different types of food. She had a special knack for caring for others, often surprising her loved ones with food and treats around the holidays. With her big heart, she never met a stranger and made everyone feel welcome and loved.

In her later years, Barbara continued to be a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, always putting the needs of her family first. Her loving and generous spirit will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.  Barbara Jane Robinson leaves behind a legacy of love, creativity, and strength, and her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew her.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from five o’clock until seven o’clock in the evening on Thursday, the 11th day of May 2023 at Rhone Funeral Home.

Funeral services to celebrate Barbara Robinson’s life are to be conducted at ten o’clock in the morning, on Friday, the 12th day of May 2023 in the Rhone Memorial Chapel with Steve Mullins officiating.  Interment will follow in Ferguson Cemetery in Palestine, Texas.
