Benny Frank Neal, Jr.

It is with deep sadness and immense love that we announce the passing of Benny Frank Neal, Jr., who departed this life on Tuesday, the 14th day of October 2025, at the age of 48, with his beloved wife Katie by his side. Born on the 23rd day of September 1977, in Palestine, Texas, Benny was the cherished son of Benny Frank Neal, Sr., and Mary Harrison.

Benny's life was filled with joy, hard work, and an unwavering commitment to family. He carried these values throughout his life, touching the hearts of everyone he met. He was an avid sports fan, Benny's enthusiasm for the Texas Longhorns and the Dallas Cowboys was infectious. Game days were events in the Neal household, filled with cheers, friendly banter, and the warmth of shared excitement.

Benny's love for the open road was well known, as he was a proud member of Sons of Liberty Rider motorcycle group. Riding motorcycles was more than a hobby for Benny; it was a way of life that brought him immense joy and a sense of freedom. Benny also enjoyed his time as a leader of Cub Scout 3369. His absence will be deeply felt by all who had the privilege of knowing him, but his spirit will continue to inspire and guide us.

A true family man, Benny leaves behind his wife, Katheryn Neal; his daughters, Kimberly Neal and Kylie Neal; his sons, Dakota Neal, Brayden Neal, Weston Neal, and Dustin Neal; and his treasured grandchildren, Brilyn Vandevander, Oaklynn Neal, and Beaux Neal. Benny cherished the times he could take his grandchildren fishing, sharing with them not only his passion for the outdoors but also life's valuable lessons.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Benny and Mary Neal; sisters Kathy Anderson, and Marsha Yelvorton.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from four o’clock until six o’clock in the evening, on Sunday, October 26, 2025, in the Rhone Memorial Chapel. 

A graveside service to celebrate Benny Neal’s life is to be conducted at ten o’clock in the morning on Monday, October 27, 2025, in Crawford Cemetery in Slocum, Texas with Rodney Weeks officiating. 

Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Dakota Neal, Dustin Neal, Brayden Neal, Weston Neal, Craig Anderson, Justin Pitts, Erick Berley, and Kevin Bieira.
