Betty June Moore, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on October 25, 2023, at Christus Mother Frances Hospital in Tyler, Texas. She was born on July 19, 1953, in LaGrange, Georgia, to parents James “Jake” Ogle and Margaret Johnson. Betty lived a life full of love and service to others.
Betty spent many years working as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), a role that perfectly suited her caring and empathetic nature. Her dedication to helping others was not only evident in her professional life but also in her personal life. She was a woman who found joy in service, whether it was caring for her family, her pets, or her patients.
Her love for her family was boundless. She was devoted to her husband and children, always putting their needs before her own. Her grandchildren were the apple of her eye, and she loved nothing more than spending time with them. She was their biggest cheerleader, always supporting them in their sports and other endeavors.
Betty had a soft spot for animals, especially cats and dogs. Her favorite holiday was Thanksgiving, a time when she could gather her family around the table and express her gratitude for them. Despite battling lymphoma for four years, she remained optimistic and thankful for every moment she had with her loved ones. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched.
She was preceded in death by her father, James "Jake" Ogle, her first husband, Robert Harder II; brothers, Jimmy Ogle and Mike Ogle, and her grandchild, Ian King.
Crickett, a name given to her by her grandfather, was affectionally known by her family as a beacon of warmth and compassion to all who knew her. She leaves behind her mother, Margaret Stogner. Betty was a devoted wife to her loving husband of 13 years, Gaylen Moore, and a cherished mother to her children, Bobbie King, Diane Harder, and Robert Harder III. Her love extended to her sons-in-law, Bobby and Steve, and her daughter-in-law, Ricci. Betty was a doting grandmother to Robert Harder IV, Rosalyn Harder, Lea Harder, and Shaun King. She was a beloved sister to Ann Smith, Sheila Nesbitt, Kenny Ogle, and Steve Ogle. Betty was adored by her numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members.
Betty’s wishes were to be cremated. The family will host a service to celebrate her life at a later date.
Cremation services for Betty June Moore are in care of Rhone Funeral Home, 3900 S. State Highway 19, Palestine, Texas.
