Bonnie Elizabeth (Derden) Vineyard, age 84, of Palestine, Texas went into the loving arms of her Lord Jesus Christ on Monday, the 29th day of May 2023 surrounded by her many guardian angels after a 5-year courageous battle with cancer. She was born the youngest of seven siblings on the 7th day of February 1939 in Corsicana, Texas to parents Archie Derden and Willie Couch Derden.
Bonnie was a true Southern lady, known for her loving, kind, and thoughtful nature. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, who treasured her family above all else. Her laughter was infectious, and her warm presence brought joy to all who knew her. She was a proud housewife, dedicated to creating a loving home for her husband and children, and her passion for reading nourished her mind and spirit.
A devoted Christian lady, she was a pillar of strength and support for her loved ones, always offering a kind word and a helping hand. She believed in the power of prayer and was a testament to the impact that faith can have on a person's life.
Holidays were a special time for Bonnie, as she delighted in celebrating with her family. Her home was always filled with the laughter of her grandchildren and the love that she and her husband shared. Her laughter and love will be greatly missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents Archie and Willie Derden; sisters, Edna Moorehead, and Virgina Grimmet; brothers, Bruce Derden, Roy Derden, and Doyle Derden.
Bonnie is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 40 years, Robert H. Vineyard; daughters, Kathy Bryan and husband Bruce of Georgetown, Texas, Becky Oswald and husband Frank of Cypress, Texas, Misty Gray and husband Coleman of Lake Palestine; stepdaughter, Stephanie Wagner; sister, Lois McGaugh of Corsicana, Texas. She also leaves behind a legacy of love with her five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, other family members, and a host of friends.
