Bryant Eugene Boley, age 90, of Elkhart, entered eternal rest on Thursday, the 27th day of June, 2019 at Legacy at Town Creek. He was born on the 19th day of January, 1929, in Akron, Alabama, to John Ivan Boley and Bernice Rabon Boley.
Mr. Boley served in the U.S. Army during World War II. After returning home, in 1950, he started working for Dow Chemical Company in Freeport, Texas. He worked his way up the ladder to the position of Superintendent, and later retired in 1986. Mr. Boley was a family man that loved his family unconditionally. He respected everyone and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He enjoyed working with the Boy Scouts and was a faithful Christian and a member of Long Lake Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Bernice Boley; wife, Chilie “Charlie” Boley; sisters, Kate Smith and Jenny Boley; brothers, John Boley, Pete Boley, Ivan Boley, Benny Boley, Jim Boley, Pat Boley and Bubba Boley.
Mr. Boley is survived by his daughters, Carolyn Ann Cox and husband Dave of Elkhart, Texas, Christine Jones and husband Gary of West Columbia, Texas; son, Bryant Eugene Boley, Jr. and wife Carol Ann of Palestine, Texas; 7 grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
Funeral services for Bryant Eugene Boley will be conducted at two o’clock in the afternoon on Monday, the 1st day of July, 2019 in the Rhone Memorial Chapel with Ben Rhone officiating. Interment will follow in Wheelock Cemetery in Flo, Texas.
Friends are cordially invited to visit with the family one hour prior to the service.
