Bryant Eugene Spradley

Surrounded by his family, Bryant Eugene Spradley, age 85, of Palestine, passed away peacefully on Saturday, the 5th day of December 2020.  He has been reunited with his son, Scott Spradley, his parents, Chester Dee Spradley and Essie Bradshaw Spradley and his brothers and sisters, Mildred, Dorthy, Beth, Margret and Moe.  

Mr. Spradley was born on the 8th day of August 1935, in McGregor, Texas.  He was an extraordinary man who had a profound zeal for life. Mr. Spradley was deeply and unconditionally loving to his family and friends. He was a graduate of Texas A&M University and served in the United States Army.  Before his retirement, Mr. Spradley had worked his way up to become the Executive Vice President and Managing Vice President of Alexander & Alexander, a large insurance underwriting firm in Dallas/Fort Worth and Midland. He began his insurance career in 1968. Prior to joining A&A in 1971, he worked for an international stock insurance company as branch underwriting manager.  He specialized in underwriting large national and international industrial and manufacturing accounts.  Mr. Spradley was dedicated to his career and passed on his work ethic to his children.  When not working, Mr. Spradley enjoyed playing golf with friends.    

Mr. Spradley’s memory will live on in the hearts of his family.  He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Dinah Kay Spradley; son, Mark Spradley and wife Michelle of Frisco, Texas; and grandchildren, Erin and Ryann.

A private family graveside service to celebrate Mr. Spradley’s life is to be conducted at two o’clock in the afternoon, on Sunday, the 13th day of December 2020 at Land of Memory Cemetery with Bro. Mike Drinkard officiating.
