Buddy Mason

E. B. “Buddy” Mason, age 78, of Palestine, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, the 26th day of November, 2019.  He was born on the 2nd day of June, 1941, in Palestine, Texas, to E. B. Mason and Eva Osuna Mason.

Mr. Mason worked as a truck driver and in the oil field industry for most of his life.  Most recently, he found satisfaction working as a security guard.  Mr. Mason was a member of Westwood Baptist Church and a lifelong motorcycle enthusiast.  He loved his grandchildren, great-grandchildren and his beloved dogs.  He will be missed by many.

He is preceded in death by his parents, E.B. and Eva Mason, and 8 siblings.

Mr. Mason is survived by his wife of 49 years, Frances Mason; sons, James Stacy Mason of Galveston, Texas, Brian Flay Mason and wife Theresa of Richmond, Virginia, David Louis Mason of Huntington, Texas; 9 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service, hosted by the family, will be conducted at one o’clock in the afternoon, on Friday, the 29th day of November, 2019, at Westwood Baptist Church with Bro. Rick Dees officiating.

Cremation services for E. B. Mason are in care of Rhone Funeral Home, 3900 S. State Highway 19, Palestine, Texas.
