Willie “Carl” Osmer, age 74, of Elkhart, Texas, passed on to his eternal home in Glory on Saturday, the 7th day of January 2023 surrounded by his family. Carl was born on the 4th day of June 1948, in Gurley, Alabama, to parents Henry Odell Osmer and Katie Iretta Jenkins Osmer.
Carl had a deep love for his family, and he always enjoyed spending time together with them and making memories. He enjoyed the great outdoors, especially fishing. Often you could find Carl watching Saturday Night Live, football games or Western movies on TV. Carl was a loving father, brother, and grandfather and he will be greatly missed.
Carl reunites in Heaven with his parents Henry and Katie Osmer; sisters, Josephine Locke, and Betty Jean Puepke; brothers, Clayton Osmer, Cecil Osmer, and Clifford Osmer.
He is survived by his wife Sharon Osmer; sons, John Daniel “Danny” Osmer and wife Sebrina, Timothy Joe Osmer, Allen Keith Williams and wife Amanda, and Willie Carl Osmer, II, and wife Kendra; sisters, Cynthia Perkins, and Linda Ridgle; brothers, Clyde Osmer and wife Sharon, and Clint Osmer; fourteen grandchildren and twenty-five great grandchildren. Carl is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
The family will host a celebration of life service to honor Carl’s life at a later date.
