Carole Joy Hart, age 80, of Palestine, Texas, passed away peacefully on the 1st day of August 2024, in Palestine, Texas, surrounded by her family. Born to parents Jacob Edgar Heimann and Addie Belle Young on the 9th day of April 1944, in Kerrville, Texas, Mrs. Hart lived a life marked by kindness and an unwavering commitment to her family and faith.
Mrs. Hart's journey through life was one of service and fellowship. Her dedication to the Eastern Star spanned over five decades, where she formed countless cherished relationships and contributed to numerous charitable endeavors. Her spiritual life was deeply rooted in her membership at Court Drive Church and her earlier years at Southside Baptist Church, where she was a beacon of light and guidance to all who crossed her path.
Known for her boundless hospitality, Mrs. Hart had a gift for making everyone feel at home. Whether through her volunteer work with the Sunshine Guild at the local hospital or the warm welcome she extended to guests in her own home, she treated everyone with the same love and respect, regardless of their social standing. Her door was always open, and her table always set for anyone in need of comfort or company.
A woman of many passions, Mrs. Hart found joy in the simple pleasures of life. Her love for square dancing was infectious, and she could often be found twirling and stepping to the music she adored. Her enthusiasm didn't stop there; she was also a devoted fan of Elvis Presley, and his music brought her immense happiness throughout her life.
Above all, Mrs. Hart was a family woman through and through. Her passion for her loved ones knew no bounds, and she poured her heart and soul into nurturing and supporting her family. The love she shared with them was her greatest legacy, and it will continue to flourish in their hearts and memories. She leaves behind her loving children, her daughter, Pam Oden and husband Tony, and her stepson, Joe Stanley Hart. Mrs. Hart’s grandson, Joshua Shellenbarger and wife Chanta, brought her immense joy, along with their precious son, Malcolm Shellenbarger. Mrs. Hart is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and many friends.
Mrs. Hart joins in Heaven her parents, husband Emen “Buddy” Hart, and siblings, Louise Harper, Landa Heimann Webb, Nancy Benett, Lonnie Marsh, Lewis Marsh, Bill Marsh, John Marsh, Jacob Heimann and Thomas Bennett.
