Charles Theodore Bledsoe, age 94, of Montalba, Texas, passed away on Thursday, the 30th day of October 2025, with his loving family by his side. He was born in Madison County, Texas to the late Andrew Theodore Bledsoe and Lela Slaughter on the 28th day of January 1931. Mr. Bledsoe served in United States Air Force during the Korean War. After returning home, he earned his bachelor’s degree and began his career in construction as a purchasing agent.
Mr. Bledsoe was a faithful Christian who loved the Lord with all of his heart. He dedicated his life to serving the Lord through various avenues in his life. He was a devoted member of Montalba Baptist Church where he served as Chairman of the Deacons for an extended time.
In Mr. Bledsoe’s younger days, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and anything that involved the great outdoors. He was an excellent storyteller who could captivate an audience and a loving family man who adored his two sons. Mr. Bledsoe was dearly loved by his family and friends and will be missed until the day they are all reunited.
He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Carolyn Bledsoe, son Mark Steven Bledsoe, brother Gary Eugene Bledsoe, sister Dr. Sharon Necessary, and his brother-in-law Darrell Necessary.
Mr. Bledsoe is survived by his son, Charles “Chuck” Lee Bledsoe and wife Sandy of Montalba, Texas, grandchildren Stephanie Lee Bachle and husband Christopher, and Ray Davis. He also leaves behind numerous other family members and friends.
Funeral services to celebrate Charles Bledsoe’s life are to be conducted at eleven o’clock in the morning on Monday, the 3rd day of November 2025 at Montalba Baptist Church with Bro. Wayne Frazier and Bro. Rod Skelton officiating the service.
Friends are invited to visit with the family one hour prior to the start of the service at Montalba Baptist Church.
Graveside services, where Mr. Bledsoe will be laid to rest next to his wife, will be held at Noon on Wednesday, the 5th day of November 2025 at Sweeny Cemetery in Sweeny, Texas.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Judson Frazier, Jacob Frazier, Jaden Frazier, Cameron Frazier, Jackson Frazier, Jefferson Frazier, Jebb Frazier, and Caden Frazier.
