Christina Renee (Light) Lincoln

Christina Renee Light Lincoln, age 43, of Elkhart, passed away peacefully on the 24th day of December 2020, and is now singing with the angels in heaven.  She was born on the 18th day of December 1977 in Norwalk, California, to parents Earnest Henry Light and Ramona Barnett Light.  

Christina lived a life full of love.  Whether it be taking care of her patients as a nurse at Elkhart Oaks Care Center or spoiling her nieces and nephews, she devoted a large portion of her time to others.  Christina’s church family at New Life Community Church also held a large piece of her heart.  On many occasions you could find her helping with church functions or just encouraging her brothers and sisters in Christ.   

She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Delorice and Franklin Barnett; paternal grandparents, Jessie and Elder Light, Billie and Bill Calame; and brother Casey Light.

Christina left this world too soon and will be greatly missed by her husband, Carl Lincoln, Jr.; parents, Earnest and Ramona Light of Tennessee Colony; brothers, Earnest Light, Jr. and wife Amanda of Tennessee Colony, John Light and wife Mary of Palestine; aunts, Martha Light, Ann Lee and husband Phillip; uncles, Jessie and wife Susan Light, George and wife Quhanna Light.  Christina is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family and share memories of Christina from five o’clock until seven o’clock in the evening on Monday, the 28th day of December 2020 at Rhone Funeral Home.

A celebration of Life service to honor Christina Lincoln is to be conducted at eleven o’clock in the morning on Tuesday, the 29th day of December 2020 in the Rhone Memorial Chapel.  Bro. Doug Washburn will be officiating, and interment will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Elkhart.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Shane Lee, Danny Pitts, Jason Light, Kelvin Light, Buford “Jr.” Lucas, and Samantha Wallace.
