Christopher Joseph Huff, of Huntsville, Texas passed away on Friday, the 5th day of June 2026 in Conroe, Texas, at the age of 54. Christopher was born to parents Sheldon Huff and Debbie Garrison Huff on the 8th day of October 1971, in Palestine, Texas. He was affectionately known to his family and friends as “Rena” and as “Shorty” to his co-workers.
For more than thirty years, he worked as a Journeyman lineman, he gave his strength, his skill, and his faithful spirit. Rena was not only known for the work of his hands, but for his big heart, sense of humor, quick wit, and love for everyone who knew him.
Rena loved the saltwater, whether fishing or spending time on the beach camping with friends. He loved college football…no, he loved the Longhorns. Hook’em!
His greatest accomplishment was his children and grandchildren. Rena leaves behind many memories he helped create, and a legacy of love.
Rena is preceded in death by his grandparents, Fagan and Juanita Huff, Eddie and Mary Garrison; and grandchild, Noble River Huff.
He is survived by his loving family including his loving wife of 22 years Patricia Huff; parents Sheldon and Debbie Huff; daughter, Courtney Huff and fiancé Christopher Ward; son, Christopher “Ty” Huff and wife Cinderella; brothers, Dustin Huff and wife Annette, Shane Huff and wife Kendra; grandchildren, Braxton Huff, Cayson Ward, Noble Huff, Abel Huff, and Juliet Huff. He also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, and co-workers.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from six o’clock until eight o’clock in the evening, on Friday, the 12th day of June 2026 in the Rhone Memorial Chapel, 3900 S. State Highway 19, Palestine, Texas 75801.
Funeral services to celebrate Rena Huff’s life are to be conducted at two o’clock in the afternoon on Saturday, the 13th day of June 2026 in the Sanctuary of First Baptist Church, 408 W. Chestnut St, Grapeland, Texas with Will Yates and Casey Vickers officiating the service. Interment will follow in the Dailey Cemetery.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Buddy Blackstock, Jason Brazzil, Clint Wilson, Kevin Yates, Billy Franks, Ralph “Bubba” McManus, and Christopher “Ty” Huff. Honorary pallbearers include Jeremy Byrd and Leigh Ann Estes.
