Cicero Mallonee Obituary
Cicero Benton Mallonee, age 73, of Grapeland, Texas, left this world for his home in Heaven on Sunday, the 9th day of October 2022, a few days shy of his 74th birthday. Mr. Mallonee was born in Fort Worth, Texas, on the 24th day of October 1948, to parents Leslie Leon Mallonee and Viola Mae Adams Mallonee.
Mr. Mallonee was a strong, independent man. He served in the United States Army and fought during the Vietnam War. He was a true hero in war and throughout his life to his family and friends. Mr. Mallonee had a deep relationship with the Lord and was of the Baptist faith. He was also a lifetime member of the V.F.W.
Mr. Mallonee enjoyed collecting all kinds of knives, coins, and baseball cards. Fishing was a sport he appreciated as well. He loved to catch the fish but always released them back into the water. Mr. Mallonee had a passion for reading. His favorite genre of books were mystery, specifically Stephen King novels. He was a wonderful man with a loving heart and will be greatly missed.
Mr. Mallonee is preceded in death by his parents Leslie and Viola Mallonee.
He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Margaret Mallonee; daughters, Michelle Cook and husband John of Springtown, Texas, Melissa Blansett and husband Scott of Fort Worth, Texas, Christina Olvera and husband Ivan of Palestine, Texas; and his brother, Leslie Mallonee, Jr. and wife Candy of San Antonio, Texas. Mr. Mallonee also leaves behind his grandchildren, Casey and wife Lyndsey, Sarah and husband Corbin, Austin, Carley, Kaila, Kristian, and Zander, and his great-grandchildren, Macie, Gracie, Tucker, and Zoey.
A memorial graveside service with Military Honors to celebrate the life of Mr. Mallonee will be conducted at one o’clock in the afternoon, on Saturday, the 22nd day of October 2022 at Roselawn Park.
