Cody Ryan Jost, age 28, of Texas City, Texas passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, the 8th day of February 2024. He was born on the 7th day of February 1996 in Temple, Texas, to parents Andy Jost and Holli Johnson. Those closest to Cody knew him as a kind and gentle soul with a very big and giving heart. He was a blessing to all who had the joy of encountering him, even if just for a moment.
Cody had a great love for travel. A huge Dallas Cowboys fan, Cody's passion for his team was just one of the many ways he connected with those around him. Cody had a mind for football, both pro and college. He was able to quote stats from memory on multiple players and teams, going back years and loved sharing his knowledge of the game.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Robert Leland Jost, Sr. and Uncle, Robert Leland Jost, Jr.
Cody's life, though short-lived, was filled with the warmth and love of his doting family. He is survived by his loving parents, Billy and Holli Kilburn, and father, Andy Jost, who will forever hold their son in their hearts. His grandparents, Randy and Kay Johnson, will cherish the precious memories of their grandson. Cody will be deeply missed by his sisters, Hannah Foster and Courtni Kilburn, as well as his brothers, Andrew Jost and Chance Kilburn. He is also remembered by his Uncle Bubba Johnson and family, and best friends Attikos and Laura Hutras, and Jerod Hopkins.
