Surrounded by her loving family, Delia "Dee" Amelia Ricard, of Palestine, went to be with our loving Lord on Saturday, the 16th day of January 2021. Mrs. Ricard passed away at her home at the age of 84. She was born in Llano, Texas, on the 24th day of November 1936, to parents James Angelo Titlow and Emma Hilburn Titlow.
Mrs. Ricard lived a full life filled with love. She owned and operated Pat Walker’s Figure Salon in Palestine in the early 1970’s. Mrs. Ricard was a former active member of several organizations throughout the community including Harvey Woman’s Club, Board of Directors for Lone Pine Water Supply, and a lifetime member of the Anderson County Youth Livestock Association. Mrs. Ricard created a loving home where she raised her kids and grandkids on Triangle R Ranch. She taught them many important lessons in life but the greatest lesson of all was to always put God first. Before her granddaughters graduated, you could always find Mrs. Ricard in the bleachers supporting, Taylor and Emma, at all their school activities. Mrs. Ricard was a faithful Christian and a member of Crockett Road Church of Christ since 1975. She dedicated her life to serving the Lord and looked forward to the day she would meet her creator and reunite with her brothers and sisters. We rejoice for her now even though our hearts long for our reunion one day in Heaven.
She is preceded in death by her parents James and Emma Titlow; sisters, Bessie Welch, Mary Hays, Betty Stockton; brothers, Stanford Titlow, Angelo Titlow, George Titlow; sisters-in-law, Florence “Tot” Titlow, Mary Lea Titlow; and brothers-in-law, HC Welch, Curtis Hayes, and Bud Stockton.
Mrs. Ricard leaves behind her husband of 62 years, Bert Ricard; children, Deena Ricard and Jim Ricard, both of Palestine; sister, Lou Miller and husband Charles of Waco; sister-in-law, Mary Ellen Titlow; and granddaughters, Taylor Ricard and Emma Ricard. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins other family members and friends.
A Celebration of Mrs. Ricard’s well lived life is to be conducted at ten o’clock in the morning, on Saturday, the 23rd day of January 2021 in the Rhone Memorial Chapel with Dan Manuel, Jack Titlow and Jeff Stockton officiating. David Sparks will be leading the congregational singing.
