Dennis Mikel Hite

Dennis Mikel Hite, age 73, passed away peacefully on February 16, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on November 27, 1952, in Houston, Texas, Dennis was the beloved son of Henry Douglas Hite and Sarah Barlow Hite.

A fun-loving guy at heart, Dennis's passion for fishing was well-known among his family and friends. His laughter and tales of the one that got away will be fondly remembered during family gatherings for years to come. Dennis's love for his family was unparalleled, and he cherished every moment spent with them, creating memories that will be treasured forever.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Sarah Hite, his brothers Jerry Hite Sr., Douglas Hite, and Dale Hite.

Dennis is survived by two daughters, Kim Hite Edwards and Kathy Hite Hale and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Also, one sister, Peggy Williford and one brother, David Hite, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. He will be missed by so many.

Dennis's wishes were to be cremated, and in honoring his request, no services are planned at this time.
