Obituary

Donald Dean McAnally, of Palestine, Texas, passed away surrounded by his family on Sunday, the 20th day of March 2022, at Palestine Regional Medical Center.  He was 56 years of age at the time of his passing.  “Mac”, as he was affectionally known to his family and friends was born on the 4th day of November 1965 in Tacoma, Washington, to parents Jimmy McAnally and Mary Redifer McAnally.

Mac was loved by all who knew him.  He enjoyed being outside and everything that entailed, especially hunting and fishing.  He was an avid poker player and loved sports.  Most importantly, he loved his children and grandchildren and the time he was able to spend with them and make memories.

Mac worked for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice and retired after 30 years of dedicated service.  He was a member of First Baptist Church in Palestine and always made the Lord a priority in his life.  He is now in the presence of our loving Savior, and we look for the day we can join him in Heaven.

Mac is preceded in death by his father, Jimmy McAnally; father-in-law, Richard Black; mother-in-law, Joyce Black; and his grandson, Noah Lane.

He leaves behind his loving wife of 27 years, Lucinda McAnally; mother, Mary McAnally; son, Jon Robert McAnally; daughters, Lisa Alexander, Bryanna Beusch and husband Kyle, Emily Morse and husband Dakota, Hannah McAnally, Tara Eastham and husband Lee, and Kylie McAnally; brother, Wayne McAnally and wife Donna; grandchildren, Sadie McAnally, Cole Conklin, Ella Ward, Preston Beusch, Preslee Beusch, Paxstin Beusch, Caroline McAnally, Janson McAnally, Hayden Alexander, Malorie Bowen, Natalie Bowen, Kayson Rhodes, Kaylee Rhodes, Mya Taylor, Maddox Morse, and one on the way Phoenyx Beusch.
