On Sunday, the 4th day of June 2023, Donna Marie Curry, of Crockett, Texas, passed away peacefully and is now in the presence of our loving Lord and Savior. She was 62 years of age when she departed for her eternal home in Heaven. Born in Ohio on the 21st day of June 1960 to parents Alfred Eugene Evans and Rena Marler, Donna was known for her friendly, spirited, and generous nature, always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need.
Donna dedicated most of her life to her career as a Registered Nurse, where she found great joy in helping others. Her passion for her work was evident in the countless lives she touched and the positive impact she made on her patients and colleagues alike.
Outside of her career, Donna had a love for riding motorcycles with her husband Richard, a hobby that brought her immense joy and excitement. Her adventurous spirit led her to explore new places and create lasting memories with her fellow riders. Donna's love for the open road was matched only by her love for her family, especially her two sons and grandchildren. She cherished every moment spent with them and took great pride in their accomplishments.
Donna's warm and welcoming personality meant that she never met a stranger, and she made friends wherever she went. Her genuine interest in others and her ability to make people feel at ease allowed her to form deep connections with those around her. Donna's generosity extended beyond her family and friends, as she was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need, whether it was through volunteering her time or offering support and encouragement.
As we remember Donna, we celebrate her life and the many ways she made the world a better place through her kindness, generosity, and unwavering dedication to helping others. May we remember her infectious smile, her boundless energy, and her unwavering commitment to making a difference in the lives of those around her.
In Heaven, she joins her father, Gene Evans, and her stepfather, Max Davis, and nephew; Christopher Hill.
Donna’s loving spirit will live on in the lives of her husband, Richard Curry; mother, Rena Davis, of Crockett, Texas; sons, John Shveyda and wife Haley, of Crockett, Texas, and Tyler Shveyda, of Midland, Texas; stepson, Mark Curry, of Houston, Texas; stepdaughter, Monique Curry of Crockett, Texas; sisters, Regena Rhone, Karla Evans, and Lea Ann Holmes; brother, Edward “Eddie” Evans.
