Doris Rene (Roberson) Torrez

Doris Rene Torrez, age 81, of Tyler, Texas, passed away into the loving arms of Jesus on Monday, the 14th day of March 2022. She was born on the 28th day of January 1941, in Oakwood, Texas to parents Archie and Lorene Roberson.

Mrs. Torrez enjoyed life to the fullest while spending time with her grand kids and fellowshipping with her church family. She was a fantastic cook. The love for her flower beds were noticed by all who came to visit. After working with the flowers, she would remove the thorns from your hands. She was an inspiration to her family and friends and will always live in our hearts.

 She is preceded in death by her parents, Archie and Lorene Roberson.

Mrs. Torrez leaves behind her daughter, Linda Potts of Tyler, Texas; sons, Johnny Torrez of Palestine, Texas, Jerry Torrez and wife Michelle of Palestine, Texas, Carlos Torrez of Palestine, Texas; sister, Mildred Russell of Tyler, Texas; brother, A.J. Roberson of Palestine, Texas; eleven grandchildren, twenty-five great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from five o’clock until seven o’clock in the evening, on Wednesday, the 23rd day of March 2022 at Rhone Funeral Home.

Graveside services for Doris Torrez are to be conducted at ten o’clock in the morning on Thursday, the 24th day of March 2022 at Roselawn Cemetery.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers are James Torrez, Brandon Torrez, Marcus Torrez, Victor Ontiveros, Victor Ontiveros, Jr., Ethan Ontiveros, Charles Torrez, and Brian Torrez.
