Dotty Sue Yorgensen, of Magnolia, Texas, joined her family and friends in Heaven on Tuesday, the 7th day of June 2022. Mrs. Yorgensen passed away at the age of 80. She was born on the 28th day of February 1942 in Palestine, Texas to parents J. W. Walston and Lillie Modean Walston.
Mrs. Yorgensen was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, who loved her family immensely. She also had a deep love for the Lord and was a member of Becker Road Baptist Church. Mrs. Yorgensen enjoyed playing Bingo, Dominoes, and various card games with her family and many friends. She also found pleasure in going on numerous cruises and seeing new sites with her family. Mrs. Yorgensen was a true blessing to many people and will be sorely missed.
She is preceded in death by her parents J. W. and Lillie Walston; husband, Harry Yorgensen; sisters, Virginia “Aunt Nana” Nash and Cornelia “Nelee” Lewis; brother, James “Bub” Walston; grandson, John Michael Armstrong; and great granddaughter, Remi June Wells.
Mrs. Yorgensen leaves behind her daughters, Susan Bailey and husband Craig of Magnolia, Texas, Glennie Cannon and husband Joe of Elkhart, Texas, and Debbie Ann Anneler of Crosby, Texas; son, Robert Bridges, Jr. and partner Alex Rodriguez of Palestine, Texas; sisters, Dorothy Lankster and husband Terry of Tennessee, and Linda Kay Manning of Palestine, Texas; seven grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.
Graveside services to celebrate Mrs. Yorgensen’s life are to be conducted at half past nine o’clock in the morning on Friday, the 10th day of June 2022 at Cedar Creek Cemetery with Marty Nash officiating the service.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Joshua Simmons, Robbie Cannon, Rory Cannon, and Robbie Yorgensen.
