Earl McFarland Jr.

Earl McFarland, Jr., age 67, of Palestine, Texas, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, the 10th day of July 2025, at Palestine Regional Medical Center.  He was born in Edinburg, Texas on the 3rd day of August 1957 to the late Earl McFarland and Josefa Ambriz McFarland.  He is survived by his wife of twenty-two years Belinda Mays McFarland, his sister Mary Ellen Boyles and husband Jim, and his sister-in-law Lupita McFarland.  Mr. McFarland is preceded in death by his brother, Gilbert McFarland.

Mr. McFarland was a man whose hands were as skilled as his heart was large, and whose courage shone through in every aspect of his life.  Born into a family that valued hard work, Earl found his calling in the construction industry as a carpenter, a career that he loved.   He owned and operated McFarland Construction.  Those who knew Earl would describe him as handy, a man who could build anything and didn’t mind getting his hands dirty. His presence was a source of stability and warmth, and his absence will be deeply felt by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
