Ernestine Beck, 86, of Palestine, TX went to be the Lord Tuesday, January 6,2026, surrounded by her family in Palestine, TX.
She was born July 7, 1939, in Hempstead County, AR the daughter of the late Ernest and Mabel McCoy Bobo.
Mrs. Beck was the co-owner and business manager Thompson Discount Movers, business manager of Hailey Oil Company, and retired from the Texas Department of Correction as a Correctional Officer. She was a member of the Evangelistic Temple of Palestine and loved the Lord.
Ernestine was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jack Beck, a sister Louise Cummings, and a brother Rev. JW Bobo.
Left to cherish her memories are her children Jack Thompson (Neshia) and Beverly Damron of Palestine, TX; two sisters Wanda Faye Whittaker (Keith) of Minden, LA and Sylvia Ann Owens of McCaskil, AR; grandchildren Maddy Jo Thompson of Flint, TX, Crystal Osborn, and Candice Wood (Ash) all of Palestine, TX; bonus grandchildren Baili Gomez and Chase Wright of Palestine, TX; great grandchildren Jon, Izzy, and Myles; bonus great grandchildren Zoey, Noah, Daniel, Daisy, Ellie, Nora and Ivy; one great-great granddaughter Evelyn; numerous special nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held Saturday, January 10, 2026 5:00pm to 8:00pm at Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Home. Funeral services are scheduled for Sunday, January 11, 2026, at 2:00pm in the Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Central Cemetery, under the direction of Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Home.
