Frances Laverne (Webb) Richie

Frances Laverne Webb Richie, of Palestine, Texas, joined her husband and our loving Lord and Savior in Heaven on Saturday, the 5th day of November 2022.  Mrs. Richie passed away at Winfield Nursing Home in Crockett, Texas, at the age of 80.  She was born on the 25th day of March 1942 to parents Benjamin Albert Webb and Hattie Mae West Webb.  

Mrs. Richie was born and raised in Anderson County.  She worked in the banking industry, where she met a lot of wonderful people that became close friends, before retiring.  She was a faithful member of Norwood Heights Baptist Church and attended every Sunday before her health declined.  Even though she was not able to attend services regularly, her heart was there every Sunday.

Mrs. Richie had a heart of gold and a loving spirit.  She enjoyed spending time with her family and cooking at all the family gatherings.  She had a natural “green thumb” and took pride in her beautiful flower garden.  She was greatly loved by her family and her legacy will live on forever. 

Mrs. Richie is preceded in death by her parents Benjamin and Hattie Webb, and her husband Larry Richie.

She leaves behind her sons, Don Ferguson and wife Robbie of Centerville, Texas, and Rickey Ferguson and wife Donna of Aledo, Texas; brother, Benny Webb and wife Carolyn of Colorado; grandchildren, Jamie Ferguson, Loren Ferguson, and Bryce Ferguson.  Mrs. Richie is also survived by her nephews Allyn Webb and T.J. Webb, and many other relatives and friends.

A graveside service to celebrate the life of Frances Richie is to be conducted at two o’clock in the afternoon on Tuesday, the 8th day of November 2022 at Muse Cemetery.  Bro. Jamie Hogan will officiate the service.

In lieu of customary remembrances, memorial contributions can be directed towards Norwood Heights Baptist Church, 2214 Highway 155, Palestine, Texas 75803.
