Francis "C.J." Clarke, Jr. Obituary

Francis Ramon Clarke, Jr., of Palestine, Texas, entered the gates of Heaven on Tuesday, the 23rd day of January 2024.  “C.J.” as he was affectionately known, was at home surrounded by his family when the Lord called him home at the age of 55.  He was born in Oswego, New York, on the 3rd day of December 1968 to parents Francis Ramon Clarke and Nancy Hertter Clarke. He was a cherished member of the Memory Lane Missionary Baptist Church, where his faith and dedication to service were an inspiration to all who knew him.

C.J. left behind a legacy of hard work, dedication, and the warmest of memories. He was a man who took pride in his work as a truck driver, a job that he not only performed with excellence but also truly loved. C.J.'s passion for his work was evident to all who knew him, and his commitment to doing everything wholeheartedly was a trait that defined his character.

C.J. had a lifelong passion for all things mechanical. He found joy and satisfaction in working on cars and trucks, often spending hours tinkering and perfecting every engine he touched. His hands were skilled, and his knowledge was vast, making him the go-to person for anyone in need of mechanical advice. Beyond his love for mechanics, C.J. was also an avid gardener. He took great pleasure in growing a variety of vegetables in his garden, each row and plant tended with care and expertise.

In addition to his green thumb, C.J. had a deep affection for animals. Over the years, he raised numerous animals, each receiving his unwavering attention and care. He enjoyed the simple pleasures of riding tractors and the tranquility of life on the land. In his younger days, C.J.'s adventurous spirit shone through in his love for racing cars. The thrill of the race and the roar of the engines were experiences he cherished deeply.

Above all, C.J. was a family man. His love for his family knew no bounds, and he was especially proud of his grandchildren. They were the light of his life, and he cherished every moment spent with them. C.J.'s memory will be carried on in the hearts of those he touched. His wisdom, his laughter, and his unwavering love will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

C.J. joins his mother Nancy Clarke, father-in-law and mother-in-law Clinton and Mildred Curry, and his daughter-in-law, Carmen Morris, in Heaven.

He leaves behind his beloved wife of 15 years, Angie Clarke; father, Francis Clarke, Sr. and wife Carol; sons, Justin Morris and wife Ginger, and Josh Morris and wife Amanda; sister, Kris Jensen and husband Steve; and his grandchildren, Kaydin Morris, Abbie Morris, Karson Morris, Hadleigh Morris, Cambree Morris, and Tatum Morris.  C.J. is also survived by other family members and numerous friends.
