Loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend, Gaylon Hoffman, of Palestine, passed away peacefully on Saturday, the 30th day of January 2021, in Tyler, Texas. Mr. Hoffman was called home to live with our Lord at the age of 81. Mr. Hoffman was born on the 30th day of June 1939, to parents Homer W. Hoffman and Sallie Belle Hoffman in the Sand Flat Community and raised in Frankston. Mr. Hoffman owned and operated Hoffman Tire in Frankston for more than 25 years. He loved to watch sports and spend time with his grandchildren. He was a lifelong Baptist and centered his life around Jesus Christ. Mr. Hoffman will be remembered for the love he conveyed and the faith he instilled in his family.
Mr. Hoffman is survived by his wife of 61 years, Peggy Hoffman and together they raised four sons. They have eleven grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from five o’clock until seven o’clock in the evening on Monday, the 1st day of February 2021 at Rhone Funeral Home.
A private graveside service to honor Gaylon Hoffman’s life is to be conducted on Tuesday, the 2nd day of February 2021 at Frankston City Cemetery with Bro. Jason Hoffman officiating.
