George Murray Obituary

 

George Waller Murray, age 87, of Flint, Texas, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, the 17th day of October 2021.  He passed away peacefully at his home with his family by his side.  Mr. Murray was born on the 28th day of December 1933, to parents Arch E. Murray and Ruth Waller Murray.

Mr. Murray was born and raised in Grapeland, Texas.  He was a retired farmer and rancher.  He loved to travel and experience new places and cuisines.  Mr. Murray was a Christian of the Baptist faith and is now in the company of his family that went on before him and our loving Lord and Savior.

He joined in Heaven his parents Arch and Ruth Murray; wife, Norma Murray, who passed away exactly one year prior; sister, Dorothy Duncan; and brother, Bubba Murray.

Mr. Murray leaves behind his daughter, Thala Barrentine of Lindale, Texas; sons, Gary Murray and wife JaLynne of Tyler, Texas and Doug Murray and wife Gina of Tyler, Texas; sister, Judith McCracken of Waco, Texas; 7 grandchildren; and 20 great grandchildren.

Graveside services to celebrate Mr. Murray’s life are to be conducted at two o’clock in the afternoon, on Saturday, the 23rd day of October 2021 at Pilgrim Cemetery.  His son, Gary Murray, will officiate the service.

Graveside services for George Waller Murray are in care of Rhone Funeral Home, 3900 S. State Highway 19, Palestine, Texas.
